Competency based assessments can be a very valuable tool in selection and even more so in development as it offers an in-depth look at an individual. Currently the popularity and use of these assessments is increasing daily, giving rise to questions regarding the correct application and interpretation thereof. In this session we will look at three practical case studies regarding the interpretation and use of competency assessments in an organisational context. We will also explore some of the themes and trends in the competency assessment field that were discussed at conferences.
