Overview:

A high performing culture and consistent employee performance is known to require not only employee technical expertise, but also a psychological state in which employees are engaged in their work and so bring energy, focus and other behaviours that are conducive to realising high work performance.

The value that a company creates results from the way that people apply their skills, energies, and expertise to the capital and raw materials that customers want. Of all the business levers available to leaders, the greatest potential to build value is offered by people.

According to the Deloitte’s 2015 Global Human Capital Trends report, culture and engagement was rated the most important issue overall. This challenge highlights the need for business and HR leaders to gain a clear understanding of their organization’s culture and re-examine ways to better engage and empower people.

This two hour free session aims to explore employee engagement as described above within a particular scientifically based theoretical model. Furthermore, a case study will be presented where employee engagement was measured. The process as well as the challenges and key learnings will be discussed.

OUTCOMES:

This free interactive two hour session will provide experienced and inexperienced human capital practitioners, psychologists, psychometrists, and interns with a model for employee engagement as well as practical insight into conducting an employee engagement survey.
