The importance of behavioural competency identification
|Date||: 16 November 2017|
|Event Type||: Webinar|
|Time||: 17:00 – 18:00|
The focus of this webinar is to look at the process of utilising a behavioural competency framework and identifying the behaviours related to job performance. Research suggests that if an individual displays certain behaviours or has the potential to develop that behaviour this is likely to result in effective on-the- job performance. Thus it is imperative to identify what behaviours are required in a role and differentiate between what would be considered as essential, useful or just desirable. Furthermore competencies need to be differentiated on two levels namely how important it is for an individual to display the behaviour and the frequency at which the behaviour needs to be displayed. The webinar will thus work through the steps of how to identify and rank the most critical competencies required in a role.
